Some 70 kms of pipe line would be installed to address the problem of water distribution and interruption and the replacement of the 30 kms old pipe lines with new ones would be undertaken, he indicated.

Two water reservoirs with the capacity to hold over 5,000 cubic meters of water would be built, he said, adding that efforts to halve the current 20 per cent water wastage would be made by building inspection sites in four areas.

The office envisages raising the current 55.5 per cent water coverage of the town to over 90 per cent by improving its execution capacity, he said.

World Bank, the state water, mineral and energy bureau, the town administration and the office itself allocated the budget for the execution of the project, he indicated.
